Bulletin - Feb 6th - Feb 10th
- In recognition of Tuesday, the 100th day of school, we are dressing up as if we are 100 years old. So get your costume ready. Tuesday we also have early dismissal at 1:38. There will not be Jewish Club this week.
- Wednesday, the orchestra teacher is here and we have Farsi class after school in the library at 2:45. The Farsi teacher is teaching students how to speak and write in Farsi. This is a wonderful opportunity that the Farhung Organization is providing to us free of charge. In Beverly Hills, they provide this same service for hundreds of dollars, so please take advantage of it.
- Thursday, we have chorus
- Friday, we have Lunch Bunch for 5th graders ONLY. Many 5th graders are attending PALI Camp next week so they will not here for our regular LUNCH BUNCH on Tuesday, February 14, which is of course Valentines Day. Check your child’s backpack for the LUNCH BUNCH flyer. We also have psycho-motor and grade level meetings for teachers.
- I want to thank everyone who came out to support our students during Nestle’s Got Talent talent show Saturday Night. I’m so proud of our students who showed such energy, ability and support for each other. It was a heartwarming evening, and none of it would have been possible without the dedication and talent of Ms Nguyen, our hardworking and exceptional 2nd grade teacher. Thank you, Ms Nguyen and thank you students for sharing your talent with all of us.
- And lastly Parents please fill out the School Experience Surveys. You can do it online or the paper pencil way. Either way, it is extremely important to Nestle’s Report Card. Last year, our parent participation rate was 34%. The LAUSD average was 63%. That is not a good representation of Nestle. So Please help Nestle’s rate, and the best news is, its free, we’re not asking for any money or donation!!! (at least not this time). Check your child’s back pack for the survey or go online at achieve.lausd.net to take the survey, FOR PARENTS.
