“What nobler employment, or more valuable to the state, than that of the man who instructs the rising generation.” – Marcus Cicero
I have been at Nestle since 2014, but previously taught in a private school for four years. I believe that a teacher must realize that the rewards of teaching are granted in the future when his/her students become responsible citizens, successful professionals, powerful leaders, and teachers. I look forward to a new journey with students every year!
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree Cum Lade in Child Development in 2008, and completed my Multiple Subject Credential in 2010. I am currently working on a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Gifted Education, through Arizona State University.
On a personal note, I have been an avid volleyball player and dancer throughout the years. I have been a volleyball player since 4th grade and later, played on the Junior Varsity team at Birmingham High School. Most recently I played in the ACYO (Armenian Church Youth Organization) league, and it’s through there that I met my fiancé. For many years, I was also a principal dancer with the Nayiri Armenian Dance Suite. I also have an intense love of reading, which is something, I hope, will translate well into my students, and they will become as devoted book worms as I have been since my childhood.
